I’ve Had My Share Of Pain…

In 2019 alone, I lost over 1.4 Million due to a high rate of rejected orders, Failed delivery and loss of the product from the logistics company, and in 2021 I lost another N568,000 worth of products left to delivery agents who refused to remit payment after successful deliveries and I couldn’t get in touch with anymore ( I can literally feel the emotions as I am writing this ) 

Here’s a background of what happened…

That year, I was having lots and lots of failed deliveries, that I kept changing Logistics companies and self-delivery agents and looking for alternatives 

In fact, on one occasion I was so angry and pained, ready to blast the customer who placed order as to why she rejected the order.

Only to receive the shock of my life, that she had been waiting for days for my logistics company to deliver, but they never did all day only for them to call around 6 pm and ask for her availability which she said till tomorrow… Instead of them going to deliver the next day, they told me she canceled the order.

I was really in pain, it was that day I found out that many of my failed deliveries were either due to the fact that my delivery company got there late, couldn’t go there anymore, Lack of communication with the customers or they lied about it. At least 85% of the time was caused by them

I mean, it’s battle enough having to deal with Facebook advert bans, it’s enough battle getting a good and hot product to sell, it’s a struggle to get the product in large volumes.

But it’s sad if, after all the efforts done, I still have to face high delivery charges, loads of failed deliveries, and rejected orders. I mean it’s disheartening 

The height of the pain was when one of the riders working for me refused to remit funds for weeks, and every attempt to reach him just didn’t work,

It was from one lies to the other,  from “bank issues” lie to he been robbed to him stop picking called and finally to him been unreachable anymore. 

It was as if, my heart was about to be removed out of my chest

N137,000 funds down the drain, products worth N431,000 all gone.

Where do I start from? What do I do?

I was so demoralized, that for the next 7 months I quit selling online… 

See, I learnt it the hard way, 

From missing items, to lots of failed deliveries, to high delivery costs, to delivery agents running away with funds. 

I told myself if I was ever getting back to this, I’ve got to figure out a way around these whole issues with logistics.

I’ve got to make it work really well this time..

I wasn’t planning to come in again to gamble or lose funds anymore but

At this point I had to start doing the deliveries myself but after 3 months I couldn’t continue again because I burnt out and could only fulfill 2-6 orders days per day due to Lagos traffic and stress. And mind you I was getting an average of 14 orders per day. Which means I was leaving a lot of money on the table. 

Now , I knew I had to do something.

And yes!!! After months and months of searching, I cracked the code

And in the year 2022 alone, following this system, My successful delivery rate have spiked from 55% to 90%

Plus, My delivery fee was slashed to not more than N3,500 and for low as N2,500 some companies charge as high as 7,400 within Lagos
